Chair & Trustees for Mary Ward Legal Centre

 

Mary Ward Legal Centre provides free, independent legal advice.  Based in Holborn but serving the whole of London, the Legal Centre provides casework and representation in debt, employment, housing and welfare benefit matters.

 

We are now seeking an experienced person to chair the Mary Ward Legal Centre's Board of Trustees, and also some additional trustees.  This is a unique opportunity to become involved with an exciting, high profile leading legal charity.  The Centre is part of the Mary Ward Settlement which provides both access to justice and access to education.

 

We are looking for trustees with sound independent judgement, both non-legal and legal skills and an understanding of the voluntary sector and in particular the not-for-profit legal advice sector.  You will have a commitment to free independent legal advice services and to access to justice for the poorest communities in London.
