The LPMA was founded in 1996 with the intention of providing a supportive networking forum for the dissemination of information to those involved in, or seeking involvement in, legal practice management. Membership now exceeds 90 and we are recognised as the association for those working in the field of legal practice management.
 
The Association holds events per year on topics relevant to the legal sector. Events usually take the form of evening sessions with guest speakers. We also hold a one day Annual Conference every two years. All our events are informative but relatively informal and there is always a chance for discussion and/or networking. We also hold regular social evenings including ‘second Tuesday' where there is an open invitation to meet for drinks at a London wine bar.
 

Membership Types

There are two types of membership:

Full Membership - Open to those who are actively involved in Legal Practice Management.

Associate Membership - Open to individuals with an interest in legal practice management.

All members receive regular mailings (preferably by email) containing newsletters and event notifications. Full members are also able to access the data held within the members section of the web site, which includes a full membership list along with discussion forums and information on submissions that the LPMA has made in response to consultation documents.

The LPMA is run by an Executive Committee which is elected on an annual basis. The Committee welcomes ideas from members about topics for future meetings or any other aspect of the association.

We pride ourselves in being a friendly and open organisation, willing to help individuals with particular practice management issues.
